This is the most exciting festival of the year at Govinda's.

Gaura Purnima means "Golden Full Moon", a reference to Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, the original pioneer of devotional chanting.

Re-kinder your love with the divine through soul-stirring, heartfelt kirtan-chants with a wonderful lineup of local artists as we explore different styles and traditions of kirtan.

The unique attraction of the festivities will be a classic Indian dance and drama performance by Govinda's Players.

Then at moonrise a delicious feast is served and enjoyed by all.

Holi is the Festival of Colors, a traditional Indian holiday celebrated in our own innovative fashion. By far our biggest festival of the year, during Holi 2011 50,000 revelers flooded the temple and grounds for 2 days day of brightly colored powder, mantra, music and a bit of "holi" mayhem.

This year, realizing that Holi has developed a national following especially among college festival-goers, we are preparing more parking and more colors (by far) than ever before. The music, the dance, the worship, the facilities -- everything is being upgraded for Holi 2012.

Friday, March 23 - Monday, March 26

COST:

$150 - includes 3 night accommodations (room sharing), picnic/lunch on Friday, one bag of colors and the festival entry

$180 - includes 3 night accommodations (room sharing), picnic/lunch on Friday, Holi super package (5 bags of color, 1 admission, 1 t-shirt, 1 hot temple meal, 1 bottle of water)

$250 - includes 3 night accommodations (private room), picnic/lunch on Friday, one bag of colors and the festival entry

$280 - includes 3 night accommodations (private room), picnic/lunch on Friday, Holi super package (5 bags of color, 1 admission, 1 t-shirt, 1 hot temple meal, 1 bottle of water)
