Govinda's Center of Vedic India is a spiritual nonprofit organization, a branch of ISKCON - a world wide educational institution based on ancient culture of India and the transcendenal knowledge of the Vedic literature.

Govinda's Center offers guidance in the Vedic techniques of spiritual life that have been described in the most ancient scriptures of this planet – Vedic literature, written 5000 years ago in Great India – especially in the summarization of Vedic wisdom: “Bhagavad Gita As It Is”.

Transcendental wisdom of the Vedas was the source of spiritual enlightement for many people thru centures and still at the present time inspires and guides many intellectuals on their journey to achieve spiritual perfection.

Govinda's Center is a unique spiritual oasis, where you can relax in the atmosphere of peace and tranquility, and dive into the mystery of consciousness and spiritualism.

Surapala Prabhu - President

Surapala PrabhuSurapala Prabhu has been practicing Bhakti Yoga since 1980 after graduating the College of Engineering in Poland. The same year when he was preparing to study law at Law University in Warsaw (Poland), he met Vedic monks at university club. They made a presentation about the Vedic science of self-realization known in Sanskrit as Bhakti Yoga. After attending 3 times their lectures Surapala was inspired to begin the Bhakti Yoga process himself. Fascinated by the transcendental achievements in Bhakti process he accepted Vedic lifestyle as his own and devoted himself to practice Bhakti Yoga with full dedication.

After practicing Bhakti Yoga for 10 years in celibacy he married Krishnamayi. They travelled together extensively all over the Europe and also visited India few times to become more experienced and to improve themselves in Bhakti Yoga.
During that time Surapala was engaged many times in managerial duties running different Bhakti Yoga Centers in Europe and since 1998 in USA as well.

In 2007 Surapala together with his wife opened and run the first official Govinda's Center of Vedic India in Las Vegas, where Vedic philosophy and Bhakti Yoga is taught.
In his teenage hood Surapala was dedicated to martial arts and established his own martial art school with more than 100 students. At the same time he was making research about the Absolute Truth. Discouraged by social hypocrisy and exploitation he wanted to protect innocent and establish justice by becoming a perfect martial artist and a good lawyer.

Now however as Bhakti Yoga teacher he is fully satisfied, because he experienced that by educating people in the proven techniques of transcendental lifestyle of Bhakti Yoga they benefit tremendously.
Thus Surapala realized that Bhakti Yoga - Vedic, spiritual science of self-realization is a  very practical and effective method to check imbalance of values in life to achieve real unity and peace in the world.

 

Krishnamayi Mataji- Manager

Krishnamayi - ManagerKrishnamayi Mataji has been practicing Bhakti Yoga since 1987 after graduating the Community College in Poland. She became a dedicated vegetarian at only 16 and later on after learning about Bhakti Yoga she devoted herself completely to this Vedic spiritual self-improvement process. Since 1990 after marrying Surapala she has been assisting him in educating people in the techniques of Bhakti Yoga and helping them in their spiritual quest.

In 1998-2001 while helping her husband to manage prestigious Bhakti Yoga Center in St. Louis (Missouri) Krishnamayi was also a manager of Govinda's Vegetarian Restaurant and Boutique. At the presence together with her husband she teaches Bhakti Yoga process at Govinda's Center of Vedic India in Las Vegas.

As a professional graphic designer she also runs a computer business called "Gopal Designs". Among others her services include website and multimedia design. Substantial profits from her business go towards maintaining Govinda's Center of Vedic India.
